Tours
Familiarization Tours (FAM) trips: This is an industry term for a press trip. This involves actively pitching journalists (domestic/abroad) on behalf of a client (which is typically a destination marketing organization), picking a time for them to visit the area, coordinating their overnight accommodations, meals, itineraries, facilitating tours during their visit, and post visit follow ups to ensure placement.
Group Tours/Step-On Tour Guide: These tours are tailored for small or big tour groups in town for a 1-2 day leisure trip.
Corporate Tours: Custom tours given on behalf of a company looking to attract new talent to the area. We show off what makes this region a great place to live, work, and visit. We reinforce why they should consider relocating to the area.
Tailored Itineraries: We create themed itineraries for destinations or attractions to share with guests (Underground Railroad, Women's Getaway, Boys Trip, Family Travel, Shopping, Adventure, Haunted Trails, Food/Beverage Trail, etc...)

Travel and Tourism Public Relations (PR) elevates communication and public exposure for businesses in the travel and tourism industries. PR is one of the biggest factors influencing tourism. It plays a key role in helping companies, attractions, hotels, and destinations remain visible. Without adequate PR, most people won’t know who your brand exists. Public relations cover traditional media relations, content creation, and social media initiatives. It’s a long-term strategy, that involves a consistent, ongoing initiative that generates awareness and exposure for brands to achieve their bottom lines.
Some of the best-known travel destinations are what they are today because they invested heavily in travel PR. Marketing is part of the strategy and PR puts out there. How else do we know about I LOVE NEW NY or WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS, STAYS IN VEGAS.
Travel PR exists as a viable community world-wide. We are well connected to global industry professionals, travel journalists, publications, and destinations. How else do you think some of the travel shows get their ideas about some of the most remote but unique travel destinations that most people would never think about going until they see it promoted on a travel show. There is usually someone or steering the ship and promoting the heck out of that destination or restaurant. Many of the travel shows and publications can and do find topics and locations on their own but you would be surprised to find out how much they are influenced by a travel PR pro.
So the next time you read the headline that says something along the lines of TOP HOT DESTINATIONS THIS SUMMER, there’s generally a company like Belesai Communications behind it.

Despite its importance, many people see public relations as a less important part marketing or some clients second-guess the advice of their public relations agent and go rogue – and end up hurting their brand in the long-run.
